The IDentity Superior Pro Whip has been engineered for the absolute pinnacle of match fishing. This featherlight, 8-metre whip is constructed from high-grade Japanese carbon, and thanks to its ultra-slim blank, it boasts a smooth yet incredibly fast action throughout its entire length. This allows you to cast and control both light and heavier floats with ease and extreme precision – an absolute prerequisite for fishing “to-hand” (long-lining) without the need to ship back. Thanks to the put-over construction and robust, numbered sections featuring perfectly fitting joints, this whip can be used at any desired length. The complementary EXT System also offers the ability to extend the whip to 9 and even 10 metres. Even at these extreme lengths, the rod remains perfectly balanced and can be fished effortlessly out of the hand. Alternatively, you can always choose to fish a short line and ship the pole back in the traditional manner over a roller. To guarantee the fast action in the top meters, the first three sections feature a telescopic design. The hollow tip accommodates elastic up to 1.2mm, which can be rated and fitted through 1, 2, or 3 sections as desired. Should you need to fish heavier, the hollow tip can be completely removed to allow a thicker diameter (hollow) elastic to be fitted through sections 2 and 3. Alongside the hollow tip option, there is also a classic, carbon spliced-in solid flick tip available. This super-fast flicker tip makes accurate and rapid underarm flicking of the rig an absolute breeze, even in a fierce crosswind. This makes the IDentity Superior Pro Whip the ultimate all-rounder for all natural venues – think of the iconic Irish loughs, where the fishing often kicks off on the inside line, but as the match progresses, you have to follow the fish and target them further out, or for controlled trotting on flowing rivers. Thanks to its minimal static weight and sublime balance, you can fish hard for a full 5-hour match without a hint of fatigue. Finally, it stands as the absolute benchmark for high-speed silverfish and speed fishing on canals and in harbours, where everything revolves around putting the highest number of fish in the net. The whip, EXT extension sections, and both top kits are available separately, while fully configured packs are also available in both 8-metre and 10-metre options.
